I strongly recommend the Emirates lounge for the quality of the buffet and the free flowing Verve Cliquot

Unfortunately in London, access to the Emirates lounge for passengers on Qantas-operated flights is restricted to first class passengers and Chairman's Lounge members. All other travellers on QF2 and QF10 don't have access here, as Emirates needs space in the lounge for their own guests.

When travelling on an Emirates-operated flight, however, access to Emirates' London lounge is available to Qantas Gold members and above and business class passengers and above.

I have been in the BA lounge a few times.. food sub par (I don't consider baked beans and ideal food option prior to a long haul flight - have seen it twice), wines were an interesting selection with some great South African reds.

Last time (Sept 18) I was in the Q first.. great gin cocktails, food good and very friendly and helpful staff. (Don't forget the salt and pepper squid!)

BA (F) - very poor

CX (F) - packed and over-rated

QF (J&F) - best by far
