I have a flight with EK from Dubai to Brisbane in F, connecting through to Melbourne on QF and all on the same ticket. All my chauffeur drives were booked through the Qantas website and reflect on the Emirates website also.
The tricky part is the final booking in Melbourne. Qantas allowed me to book this through their website and it shows confirmed. Yet when I check on the Emirates website its not shown at all and has the itinerary ending in Brisbane. When contacting Emirates, they advised the final leg is not eligible because its on a QF flight number (domestic) and not EK......yet its shows confirmed at the Qantas end and when checking with Qantas they say its all good and booked.
Not sure if I can expect a pick up now in Melbourne or not...
Are you booked the QF codeshare or the EK numbers to BNE? If QF and MEL flight is on the same ticket, you will be entitled to the transfer in MEL. If you have booked the MEL transfer on the QF website, call QF to confirm. EK and QF use different systems and would not be able to see each others limo bookings.
Appreciate that, however why would the ability to book such a thing be available on the Qantas website when its not honoured then?
If you were not savvy enough to confirm using the EK website then people would be expecting a service they were not going to get.
Don’t forget that the Chauffeur Drive service is provided by EK, thus it should only be available to their customers coming off EK flights. You are using QF website, not EK. So QF or EK are under no obligation to provide you with this service. Taxi in MEL isn’t too expensive if shared.
