Hi... I am traveling business BNE to BCN.
Also, I am traveling with a new partner who will be economy. I am unable to purchase an upgrade for her at this stage. All waitlisted.
I wish to take her into the business lounge both at BNE and SIN, otherwise I will feel obligated to sit outside with her.
It's bad enough that I will turn left as she turns right for the flight.
Is there a way to enable my traveling partner to obtain entry to the lounges. Obviously, I would prefer that it was an affordable option..
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you are KF or Star Gold, my understanding is that you can bring in a guest.

Hi - would be helpful if posters of this type of question stated what their frequent flyer status is as it does have a meaningful bearing on the response.

In this case if you don’t have status then your partner unfortunately isn’t going to be allowed into any of the lounges.

If you are star alliance gold you can guest but only into the woeful and inappropriately named Krisflyer Gold Lounge.

It’s a big step down from the SilverKris Lounge you can use as business class pax.

Of course you can always plead your case at the desk. Not likely to succeed but never hurts to ask

Just me, but I wouldn't feel obligated to sit with my partner outside of a lounge... I'd do it, because I'd want to.

It's a lounge. It's not turning up to your funeral.

Not sure who you are flying with and program level. That said, if they won’t let you both into the airlines lounge then there are pay ones like Plaza Premium at Changi.

Constructive criticism here: Why would anyone even book in a separate class to their partner? I must be mad, because I would never, never, ever fly in a different cabin to my husband (or partner in your case). And I'm pretty sure he would never do it to me.

100% sure, to be exact.

Just another option - priority pass lounge access, in case one of your credit cards has access...
