Sid. As an aside - it would also be helpful if, when a post is held for moderation, that you get a message telling you that is happening. I’ve been guilty of reposting thinking a comment has failed to go through when it has gone for moderation. Most other sites seem to let you know when that is happening.
Happens to me from time to time, the last time 2 days ago in response to the new QF US seat availability on the community forum.
Using android platform at the time so don't think a particular spam filter or whatever is the problem.
It is enough to make me go off ET for a few days since I don't like to type another response when the website appear buggy. And I don't usually save my response elsewhere before posting it so the community is spared the angst of reading my posts while I try not to get upset for the wasted efforts in typing a considered reply.
To those of you whom think this may be a 'moderation' issue, I can assure you that it is not.
Easy way to tell: Firstly, all ORIGINAL posts or posts not deemed a linked reply to another post all go through normally, unless there is a 'Cloudflare' issue (posting non-availability), where you would get a ''Cloudflare' warning screen.
Secondly, when replying to or creating a post - the text you type appears in the system-nominated Times Roman font (which I never use) while you are drafting your response. When you click on POST, the screen should then disappear and return you to the 'confirming' view screen - even if the post is headed for the moderation queue.
In the experience I am having, once the POST button is clicked, the draft disappears immediately - but never returns the confirmation screen (in a cleaner Arial font and with any words where you may have used EDIT TOOLS such as bold, italic or underline.
What is returned is an EMPTY reply box, with all your content missing.
It is interesting that the 2:33pm and 2:48pm posts have appeared in this thread, but I presume that may be because of Raj's kind intervention (?)

Hi Ourmanin, we have the following notice that pops up when a comment is held by the system: Thanks for submitting your post - because it contains external URLs (or emails), it must be approved by an administrator before it appears on ET. This is to prevent spam links and other forum abuse. Thank you for your patience!
Hi Kimshep, thanks for your patience with this. We have isolated the issue to a 3rd party platform we use and now believe it's fixed. Sorry for the issues and thanks for commenting. Please let me know if this resolves the issues for you.
Just to bring you up to date and close this thread:
Everything is working like a dream, Sid. I am able to post replies to comments multi-levels down and the problem when attempting to lodge a post and it not appearing is now resolved.
Even my cell is updating articles correctly. Thank you so much for the time you put in on this Sid - it is really appreciated.
There is a new article that David posted today regarding 'Vaccination Certificates Coming To Apple and Google Digital Wallets?'. Having read the article, I decided to write a commentary on the issue of privacy with commercial backbones such as wallets.
Clicked on 'POST' at 12:36 and the entire post disappeared completely.
It appears that after a flawless 2 weeks or so of correct operation, we are now back to the original issue of posts not appearing.
Unlike the previous issue(s), this was not a reply or sub-reply to another post. It was the first post under this article. I would appreciate it if you could have a look and see what is happening.
This issue has returned for me. My last two comments have not posted. No link or anything that should be flagged was posted. Latest example is the Victoria quarantine story.

Hi Sid,
Thank you for your perseverance with this issue. I am pleased that the source of the problem has been identified.
I will keep an eye on performance over the next week or so and let you know (via this thread) should the issue resurface.
Once again, thank you for your assistance.

Many thanks Sid - I can now see that this has posted.
I would still be interested to know the reason behind what happened.
