I'm curioue to see how long people have waitied for refunds from Thai? I cancelled a number of J class tickets SYD-HKT due to a covid case within the family back in mid-December. I'm still waiting. I've twice emailed the Sydney Thai office but as yet not a single reply.
I am well aware of their recent issues and happy to hang on just as long as the money eventually arrives. It's more the lack of communication which irritates.
Any tips or just sit back a be patient?

I am still waiting on a refund from 2020.

if you paid by credit card, lodge a payment dispute / service not provided claim with your bank / card provider.
Refund just landed on the Amex. Just under four months all up.
