Emirates is upsizing its flights from Dubai to Manchester next month with the second of three daily services taking on the Airbus A380 aircraft.
The superjumbo will appear on EK19 and EK20 and offers 14 first class suites, two ‘shower spas’ and 76 business class beds on the upper deck, plus 399 economy seats on the main deck.
EK19 takes to the skies of Dubai at 2:25pm for a 6:35pm arrival into Manchester that evening, while EK20 is wheels-up at 8:25pm on the return ahead of a 7:40am arrival into Dubai the following morning.
Emirates’ other Manchester flights remain unchanged, with EK17/18 already served by an A380 and EK21/22 retaining the smaller Boeing 777.
“Manchester is the third busiest airport in the UK and demand for flights to Dubai, and beyond, has increased significantly during our 25 years of operating out of the airport,” said Hubert Frach, Emirates’ Divisional SVP, Commercial Operations - West.
Emirates’ upgraded Manchester flights follow the airline’s launch of the first-ever scheduled A380 services to Milan and come as the airline unleashes free wireless Internet across its entire superjumbo fleet.

Qatar recently announced 4 extra flights a week in to Manchester, last year Etihad replaced a A330 with a B777 on one of their two daily flights to Manchester, and Cathay have recently launched a new direct service. If anything Emirates is following suit.
Interesting that Emirates downgraded one of their Rome flights back to a B777 so they could use the A380 to Manchester instead.
