IHG to debut new Hotel Indigo Berlin City: East Side property

The InterContinental Hotels Group continues to grow its presence in Germany with the signing of a new-build property in the Hotel Indigo Berlin City: East Side – due to open in late 2017.

Its Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg location within Berlin’s creative districts also makes for easy access to both the Warschauer Strasse and Ostbahnhof train stations, along with numerous restaurants and bars in the nearby Mercedes Platz from 2018.

Hotel Indigo, IHG’s boutique hotel brand, targets travellers seeking a unique stay but with the backing of a global brand and far-reaching loyalty program.

With that in mind, the new Berlin City: East Side hotel will feature 119 rooms – on the smaller side for most chains but perfect for boutique properties – along with an on-site gym, restaurant and a rooftop bar with an outdoor terrace.

The news follows the opening of IHG’s Crowne Plaza Berlin, Potsdamer Platz hotel in May of this year, with IHG Rewards Club members able to earn and redeem points at both properties while enjoying their usual loyalty benefits such as room upgrades and free WiFi.
