If you've got a great-looking laptop – and these days that description covers a large number of models beyond Apple's MacBook family – then why partner it with a boring brick of an external drive?
That's the premise behind the stylish LaCie Porsche drives from Seagate. The rounded corners, high-polish bevelled edges and sandblast finish of these slim slabs that distinctly Porsche Design look.
Sitting snug between the scratch-resistant aluminium enclosures you'll find 1TB, 2TB and 4TB of storage – priced at $185, $250 and $390, respectively – with a fast USB-C connector.
There's even a gold version to match your gold Apple MacBook, although this model is sold only through Apple Stores.
A slightly more affordable sibling is the Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim (below), built around a super-skinny hard drive to be just 9.6mm thin.
The 1TB model costs $129 with 2TB at $179, and can choose between a platinum or gold finish.
