Qantas boosts Gold-level perks in expanded Accor partnership

Double-dipping on Qantas and Accor ALL reward points is the big ticket perk of the partnership between the loyalty giants, with Platinum members landing points in both programs when they book flights and/or stays. Now, Gold members can enjoy the same benefit too.

Not only that, Gold members and above in each program will also receive boosted Accor All Live Limitless reward points on Qantas flight bookings, with the earn rate jumping to one ALL Point per $2 spent, up from the previous per $5.

Putting that into perspective, a return economy flight from Melbourne to Singapore would have nabbed 429 ALL points under the previous arrangement, on top of the usual Qantas Points. Now, it’ll get you 1,073 ALL points. That’s worth around €20, or $33 AUD.

Qantas says millions of points have been earned since the partnership debuted in 2021, with Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth describing it as an “incredible response” from Platinum members, adding “we know our Gold members will enjoy the added benefits.”

“The points they earn help them get their next night in a hotel or get a Classic Flight Reward Seat on their next holiday,” Wirth says.

Here’s how the full Qantas Accor All Live Limitless partnership works.

Linking your Qantas, Accor accounts

To take advantage of the reciprocal benefits, members need to first link their accounts. This is pretty straightforward and can be done through both the Qantas Frequent Flyer or Accor Live Limitless websites.

It’s worth noting you must hold Gold status or above in at least one of the programs to reap the full benefits of the partnership.

Earning points on the ground and in the air

Benefits of holding a shiny Gold card or above in Accor ALL and/or Qantas Frequent Flyer include the ability to earn one ALL Point for every $2 spent on eligible Qantas flights, which comes in addition to the Qantas Points you would ordinarily earn on your flight booking.

Earning ALL Points through flight bookings was previously limited to Platinum members and above.

Under the partnership, ALL members at any level (even Classic or Silver) earn three Qantas Points for every $1 spent in participating Accor properties across Asia-Pacific, provided they book through the Accor website or with travel agents directly connected to the Accor booking office.

Spend $1,000 for a few nights' stay at an Accor hotel and that’s an extra 3,000 Qantas Points headed your way.

That same three Qantas Points per dollar bonus also applies to every dollar spent during your stay – a meal at the restaurant, a drink at the bar, room service or a pampering spa treatment.

Which Accor hotels are eligible?

The Accor group has an extensive roster of hotels from luxurious bliss to low-cost budget, with plenty in between.

Accor brands include: SO/, Sofitel, Raffles, MGallery, Art Series, Pullman, Fairmont, Swissôtel, Grand Mercure, Peppers, Swissotel, The Sebel, Mantra, Novotel, Mercure, Tribe, BreakFree, ibis, ibis Styles, ibis Budget.

Only Accor properties in the Asia-Pacific region fall under the umbrella of this Qantas/Accor loyalty partnership. However, that’s still more than 1,200 hotels and resorts to choose from.

In addition, to earn those extra Qantas Points against an Accor stay, “stays must be booked directly with Accor (via Accor websites, the Accor booking office and hotels) or travel agencies connected automatically to the Accor booking office.”

“Stays booked through a reseller, tour operator or third-party online travel agency are not considered.”

Transferring Accor ALL to Qantas Points

This partnership also includes the ability to convert Accor ALL Reward points to Qantas Points at a 1:1 rate, based on transferring 'blocks' of 2,000 ALL Reward points to 2,000 Qantas Points.

Fast track to Silver status

Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold, Platinum and Platinum One members on the bottom rung of the ALL loyalty ladder are eligible for a fast track from ALL Classic to Silver status, once their accounts are linked. Simply complete one eligible night stay.

Members of the Qantas Points Club are eligible for the same status fast-track, though must instead complete two eligible stays (each of at least two nights)

From Silver, you then need to complete 30 nights or earn 7,000 ALL Status Points to jump up to Gold status. For context, €10 in eligible expenses = 25 Status points, meaning you can achieve this by spending €2,800 at eligible hotels.

one thing to note: you can only change account links after 12 months, so if you'd previously used the Qatar link to bump up to Accor Gold you'll need to wait 12 months from that date (e.g. I can't change mine to QF until some time in September)

This is all very nice in theory but the reality is that very rarely do Accor properties credit the Qantas points. I have been Diamond and now Platinum and still waiting for last 6 or more stays over past few months to appear.

The same in reverse, very rarely do you see the Accor points appear in the Qantas FF Points statement.

Accor/QF need to have a good look at the actual operation of the scheme before touting it.

Worth investigating this to see why it is not working for you on either partner.  They are separate systems.  I'm another Diamond Accor and P QFF and have never had one not appear.

Only problem I've had was trying to split some of my points when I've booked multiple rooms for the family, to other family Accor members, but the hotels have managed to do it, even though it has taken a while to adjust where the points went.

I never have any problems with points appearing in either direction. ALL points always appear 1-4 days after checkout in my QF account, and v.v.
