BA have not traditionally been behind on innovation. It was back in 1996 that BA introduced the first (sic) lay flat first class and then in 2000 the first lay flat business class. How many years was it until QF had lay flat business class? 2015 I think. 

Heathcor, I recently flew that route in Y with QF gold status, EK flight numbers, and has access to EK lounges in SIN, DXB, and LHR. You will get access to the EK First lounge in DXB. Note also if you are stopping over in Dubai that you can use the EK First checkin terminal

I never have any problems with points appearing in either direction. ALL points always appear 1-4 days after checkout in my QF account, and v.v. 

I'm LTG with my rollover date as Jan 31. So no extension :-) to my lifetime, but also no SC help to try and get me back to Platinum. So at this rate I won't have a chance to get back to Platinum before 2022/3
