QantasLink gets 'state-of-the art' departure gate lounge at Brisbane

Qantas usually enjoys (and also suffers from) most of the attention but this week its sibling QantasLink has a story of its own to tell.

The regional airline now claims what it calls a 'state of the art' gate lounge at Brisbane Airport, for the benefit of travellers flying to one of the  13 QantasLink destinations in Queensland.

“Over $4 million has been spent to deliver this state of the art facility which will provide customers with a premium QantasLink experience from the ground up” says QantasLink Executive Manager John Gissing.

The new gate lounge facility provides QantasLink customers with access to two additional boarding gates (5 and 6), a centrally located customer services desk, seating for 150 customers, and technology designed to assist customers travelling with specific needs.

Designed around a contemporary styling "with an abundance of natural light and relaxed ambience", the gate lounge is located close to the Qantas Business and Qantas Club lounges.
