Singapore Airlines now offering private jets for USA connections

Business travellers connecting through Los Angeles LAX, San Francisco SFO or Houston IAH can take advantage of Singapore Airlines' new partnership with US private jet operator JetSuite for domestic US connections.

That means that you can emerge from your Singapore Airlines flight -- including the all-business class option from Singapore to LAX -- clear customs and head straight for a private jet.

JetSuite runs 4-person Embraer Phenom 100 private jets, equipped with luxury seating, Sirius XM Satellite radio and Bose QC-15 noise cancelling headsets. Interiors are designed by BMW, and there's a fully licenced bar and snacks available to whet your thirst and hunger en route.

With chauffeur-driven terminals transfers from Singapore Airlines arrivals to JetSuite's private departures terminals, it sounds a much more productive -- and comfortable -- option than connecting to a US domestic airline.

And even if the prices look higher than commercial airlines for individual flights, if you happen to be travelling with three colleagues for important meetings the price may be right for privacy, convenience and the opportunity to get some real work done.
