The existing two groups works fine as long as it's properly implemented and enforced.  The key is to let on all the priority queue, and only after that start to process the regular queue.  At the moment, they seem to do both queues simultaneously rendering the whole process pointless.If...

The SQ flight from SIN to DRW is a daytime flight, whereas the QF flight is overnight, so may better suit some people's schedules or connections.I'm sure QF did this deliberately rather than going head-to-head with SQ on timing given SQ's superior aircraft on this route.
