From 24/05 QF840/1 and QF824/5 between SYD-DRW and BNE-DRW will be retimed to allow for the A330-200 to take over the SYD-DRW run daily and for the A330-300 to take over the BNE-DRW on select days. Very exciting to have the A330's coming to Darwin again. Certainly more comfortable for the 4+...

Just read the website as will be travelling on QF859 (Economy) then QF858 (Business) and now has that a limited bar service will be available on flights to the East Coast from Perth or Darwin. 858/9 is DRW to SYD via ASP and return. Have had the same issue. return leg got credited (booked on a max bundle both ways) about 4 weeks after but the first flight hadn't. Waited an extra week and then put in a points claim still nothing.

Aside from the repatriation flights there is a limited AUS - NZ schedule that Qantas is currently running.

Yeah no I definitely agree there's 2 major opinions about Darwin. Personally I don't like living here probably because I'm that person that doesn't like going "outback," but my partner does for the reasons I don't so I certainly understand your point.

Probably as you say not profitable. Darwin hasn't got alot going for it except for its relaxed (to relaxed imo) border restrictions and covid restrictions in general. I imagine when Melbourne opens up to the NT which hasn't been announced yet but will likely be soon that there will he more flight...
