Virgin Australia extends free Fly Ahead to economy fares
Jul 04, 2026, 12:09 PMThe air dividers and curtain are becoming the norm for the aircraft type worldwide. Qantas is doing exactly the same thing. I was only just in a Qantas 737 and it had no wall diving business from Econ. As much as I preferred the wall, this will be the norm for both airlines on domestic routes in ...

Virgin Australia extends free Fly Ahead to economy fares
Jul 03, 2026, 01:11 PMWhilst I agree, I believe it's only a very small percentage of seats sold on Flex fares, depending on the time of the day, as it's mostly pax flying for business purposes that purchase them. I doubt it'll make a huge difference to Plat or Gold wanting to use Fly Ahead (fingers crossed).

Qantas, Jetstar flights from Western Sydney Airport
Feb 13, 2026, 01:00 PMThe tolls will more than make up for any parking savings, I dare say.

Qantas, Jetstar flights from Western Sydney Airport
Feb 13, 2026, 12:59 PMI can't see that every happening TBH.Even the metro service that isn't beginning until the second half of 2027 is only a shuttle service that you'll need to alight and board a regular train into the CBD.Although I can't see many people travelling/staying in the CBD using the WSI, I certainly woul...

Virgin Atlantic is ditching its iconic inflight bar
Jan 27, 2026, 02:43 PMI think The Loft looks far more upmarket and more in tune with today. A luxurious little seating area where you can order a drink delivered directly to your seat and chat with your travelling companion.I think bars in planes are starting to feel a little, yesterday, to be honest.

Quick question though, did you have enough status points to retain Platinum by the 28th of Feb, as in, were enough (800 + 8 sectors) actually sitting in your Velocity account (not wa...

VA arbitrarily bumping business class pax to economy
Nov 23, 2022, 03:45 PMThe 737-700's and the A320's are all for VARA from February as I understand it. The new 737-700's are to replace the Fokker 100's in Perth. For now they are using them on some other routes until then.

How to book Virgin Australia international travel on Qatar Airways
Jul 20, 2022, 11:00 AMThe ACCC gave an interim approval on their code sharing last week, to sell and ticket Qatar flights with VA flight numbers, so I'd imagine booking via the VA website is imminent.

VA experience more demand now than prepandemic?
Jul 20, 2022, 10:56 AMMost Airlines have increased passenger numbers now, there is so much pent-up demand that a lot of people are flying now they can travel freely again.I'm sure Qantas and Jetstar also have increased passenger numbers right now.No doubt it'll be back to pre-covid numbers next year.
