Melbourne Airport moves to digital arrivals card
May 28, 2026, 03:46 PMCouldn't agree more. If someone asked me to make a list of all the things that would make travel easier this wouldn't even make my top million.I don't know about other people but I've noticed a real decline in the tech experience when travelling over the last 5 years. It's a constant battle! Case...

Qantas cuts lounge access for Jetstar passengers
Mar 19, 2026, 08:08 AMA lot more than you might think. Out of Melbourne, Jetstar is flying to Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, Nadi, Denpasar, and Ho Chi Minh (and probably a few other cities). That's probably in the vicinity of 100-200 gold and platinum flyers per day. Several of those ...

Qantas cuts lounge access for Jetstar passengers
Mar 18, 2026, 02:47 PMThe big question I have (which will hopefully become clear as more information comes to life) is how lounge access works when booking a Jetstar Business Max fare. Will I be able to use the lounge based on my ff status (eg, with platinum status, can I use the First lounges in Melb-Syd-Singapore) or...

How to earn Qantas status credits without flying
Oct 01, 2025, 03:34 PMI don't understand what is meant by the following text:'Don't forget, if you're currently earning points on the ground, they will still count towards unlocking Status Credits as long as you register for this offer. And the more categories you complete, the more Status Credits you’ll unlock ...

UK lifts business class APD ‘flight tax’ to $500
Nov 02, 2024, 07:20 AMThis is a good opportunity to argue that Qantas should offer an alternative option into Europe via Singapore. In my view, London is just about the worst port to fly into from Australia. Aside from the added costs, it's 1-3 hours further away from Australia than most continental European cities so...

Google and the Oneworld website both say the first class lounge opens at 6am, however, the JAL website says 5.30am. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Moving to revenue based FF program?
Dec 06, 2024, 03:04 PMEarlier this week I completed a survey through Red Planet Research (affiliated with Qantas) that asked about attitudes to frequent flyer programs. In particular, it seemed to be focused on gauging attitudes to a revenue based frequent flyer program (ie, your status is linked to how much you spend...

Fare codes and earning status credits on Oneworld intra-Asia flights
May 18, 2024, 03:18 PMOriginally Posted by quantumreality It really depends on how much money you are willing to spend to buy the fare codes that give SCs and where is your 'base'.If you are a Qantas member, then the best bet to maximize SC, in my opinion, is to fly Jetstar (GK/3K/JQ) within Asia (but you need to buy ...

Fare codes and earning status credits on Oneworld intra-Asia flights
May 10, 2024, 03:39 PMI have an upcoming trip to Asia and I’m planning to book internal flights between different cities using One World airlines (eg, Malaysia, Cathay, JAL). I’m keen to book flights that earn Qantas status credits, however, this is proving to be exceedingly difficult because either the fa...

Qantas Green Tier reward
May 18, 2023, 11:02 AMHi brains trust. I have a question re Qantas green tier. I achieved green tier when Qantas first rolled this out and was able to select a reward. I've since re-achieved green tier in my new membership year but haven't been able to select a reward. It says in the conditions that members will be ab...
