Qantas considers ‘subscription model’ for lounge access
Feb 18, 2024, 11:26 AMIf you were using it enough under a monthly subscription model then you are likely to obtain status benefits anyway, including the lounge, within a year.I think this is about locking in new customers which gets them into the program and eventually into regular QF customers. Throw lounge access at...

Confirmed: American Airlines launches Brisbane-Dallas flights
Feb 02, 2024, 03:25 PMGreat news but I thought DFW was an odd choice? Mentioned timings and hard product would be far better than what QF currently offer to LAX ex BNE. What’s the soft product like on AA?

VA Business Class
Jan 28, 2021, 10:03 PMI’ve done 3 trips in 4 weeks with VA from BNE to CNS twice and once to TSV. My first trips since Feb last year.Things have changed and COVID is being used as an excuse I feel, for below average service and woeful food offering both onboard and in the lounge. Velocity: Are you taking the emergency exit yet?
Oct 28, 2020, 10:52 AMNot exiting yet but I am watching carefully. I've got a flight to CNS with them at Christmas and to be honest, had it not been a travel bank credit, I probably would have flown QF - the costs were comparable. I will however use up my VFF points in rapid succession early next year and have started...

Virgin Australia complimentary drink policy change
Jan 08, 2020, 03:51 PMI am typically a fan of Virgin but I travelled CNS-BNE last week with VA in Business Class and the meal they served up was terrible - overcooked and dry lamb pide - it bordered on uneatable. Prior to this, I'd never had a bad meal on VA in J. Hopefully not a sign of things to come?
