Flew Perth-Brisbane yesterday with VA in Business Class.

As per usual the VA staff were super friendly and very efficient and a pleasure to be served by.

The Perth lounge was quite nice , very few in there and limited service.

Chicken sandwiches , fruit juice , fruit , wine and beer, nothing special but was was OK and sufficient in the interim

Flight was quite nice but with limited service , the usual snack box and plenty of quite good wine and beer, hopefully much better soon!

The senior Flight Attendant apologised for the offering and stated that the " new style " service was supposed to start next week and that the staff were at a complete loss as to why it was taking so long.

Seems like they are in the dark just like everyone else.

Lets hope she is correct and it's back to a good service soon.

Here's hoping it improves.

Flying Saturday & Tuesday in business so will see if the box stays or goes.

Feel sorry for the staff having such scatterbrain management.

Tracie. Makes one wonder what they are waiting for?

I refused the snack box but accepted plenty of red wine on my flight.

The revamped business service and offering isn't expected until March..

As is new economy BOB menu food and drink offering.

They are probably waiting until Australia gets a handle on domestic travel, borders so they can ensure their investment right away isn't a total loss.

But that March dates been said for a while now so not sure why a crew member advised you it was being announced next week..because memos from Jayne Hrdlicka to staff advises what's happening.

And if you think it needs to happen now, really the amount of people flying is still very limited, so there's not a great of virgin flyers out there that are being affected. At moment is still people needing to travel, get home and a bit of leisure travellers. Coupled with border restrictions still, I don't see the rush. In saying that Qantas need to announce when they going back to full service too - no entertainment and downgraded business F&B service and snack box in economy on some flights yet some.of the most expensive prices Ive seen for domestic foights...it's not just VA.

Thanks Dan22.

I guess March seems more feasible because as you say the way border closures/ restrictions are being bandied around there is no real certainty as to scheduling whilst Covid-19 is so prevalent and transmissible.

Reckon this horrible pandemic wont' settle down much before the available vaccines are being administered and that will take quite some time yet.

It's crazy to think that our world is at the mercy of a tiny little bug!!!!

Tuesday still a snack box - the lavosh pieces were the size of a thumbnail in my box. Drinks warm.

Getting very frustrated with the new Virgin management. Staff now more Jetstarish on this flight.

Dear Jayne, might want to beg the leprechaun back for your old job as you are loosing loyal customers with silence.

As a platinum VA member, I've had it.

Tracie. Yes, it's very frustrating and to just have a snack box when there are sandwiches in the lounge seems crazy. Surely they could bung some sandwiches' on the flight.

I guess that QF aren't much better from what I have read so it would seem like a waiting game until the Airlines can schedule more regular flights and organise a better service but I still reckon VA can do a bit better than the ludicrous snack box in the interim.

This bloody Covid-19 has sure made a terrible mess of this world of ours.

Flew Canberra - Brisbane return over the Australia Day long weekend in Business Class.

Snack box still lives on. On one of the flights, the Head FA referred to it as the 'post-apocalyptic Business Class Offering'.

Some inconsistencies - no bottles of water on outbound leg, but offered on return leg.

Also interesting - on BOTH flights, they ran out of 1 (of the 2) white wine options. I suspect they're putting fewer bottles on each flight.

I know people are complaining about the Qantas offering, but as a VA Platinum who has been flying Qantas enough to obtain gold with no status challenge..... nice warm food in the lounge, good coffee, free flowing wine & an option for hot or cold meals in business. I swore black & blue I would never go back to Qantas (even cut my card up), but sorry Jayne I can't sink to bogan class...

I’ve done 3 trips in 4 weeks with VA from BNE to CNS twice and once to TSV. My first trips since Feb last year.

Things have changed and COVID is being used as an excuse I feel, for below average service and woeful food offering both onboard and in the lounge. It all feels very down market.

On one of the sectors I was on a Freedom Economy Fare. I’m Gold now after 8 years Platinum and of course no Economy X anymore. Asked for an exit row at check in in CNS and was told I had to pay for it. There was 79 PAX on the flight and no one sitting in the exit rows! They could have tried a bit harder.

Such a shame - I was a big supporter but the time has come to take advantage of the QF status match

It appears that the exodus to QF has well and truly begun in earnest by some Business Class Passengers.

Surely VA are aware of this and would try to keep others with an improved service in the interim ( even just sandwiches ) or don't they care?

All we have is rumours of an improved service but nothing more than that.

Not worth the wait for some .

This morning i did QF link 717 BNE-CBR in business and was offered granola cereal or a quiche with sausage and chutney, both came with a warm muffin, yogurt and an apple. It was plenty for an early flight.
