Also the flight credit can only be used for the same booking class or higher. Ie cancel a flexi and you need to use that flight credit to book a flexi. You won't be able to book a lower fare class. Multistop bookings also not available.

I find that the QANTAS award flight search engine doesn't include all flights which can be booked on oneworld partners. You may be in luck if this is the case. I suggest using AA or BA award search and ringing Qantas to book if this shows availability quoting the flight number. They should waive ...
