Hi Simon, Just came here to find out this exact same question - know this was a couple years ago, but how did you go? We have a 7 hour transit, first flight should be in First - wondering if we stay at the airport can we spend the time in First lounge? On-flight is in economy with EK.

  • This may explain why the earlier of the 2 A330 BNE-PER has been replaced by a 737. Booked in September, they changed it about a month ago. Frustrating when you book around a particular plane/spec.

Thanks for the clarifcation ChrisCh, I couldn't find anywhere that it states if QF marketed was OK, or if it had to actually be QF Operated. Great article too, shame I'll miss seeing the lounge.

  • We did exactly this with Emirates, 2 weeks ago. Watching close to our flight date, they were releasing seats around (but not exactly) 72 hours before. Jagged a direct First class BNE-DXB on Emirates A380, was absolutely amazing. And the cabin was half full, and there were no seats available 300+ ...

  • Looking at the planes flying the BNE-DXB route, it seems plenty have the new Business - A6-EPV and newer 777-300ER. None with the new F, but definitely plenty with the updated J. Edit - I know OP is referring to BNE-SIN, but it does seem that BNE is getting them in some respects.

  • New Emirates 777 Business Seats

The original article about Emirates new J, on this site, stated that all 777 from November 2016 delivery would have their updated fully flat beds. I think i found quite a few delivered since then - all from tail number A6-EPV onwards IIRC. I think the ones an the new business and the new first as...
