Germany looks to set a speed limit on autobahns
Jan 25, 2019, 04:32 PMLast time I had the pleasure, EuropCar only had a Citroen left. Downhill, with the wind behind me - she hit 159kph with speed wobble! Was overtaken by an elderly woman in a run of the mill hatch back who threw me the finger.

British Airways confirms first class suites axed from Airbus A350s
Nov 06, 2018, 12:50 AMAre we not simply transitioning back to 20 years ago? Business is the new first, premium the new business? There doesn't need to be 3 premium categories, plus economy (and in some cases, plus economy plus/x/ etc) on any aircraft imho. A super premium (business/first), a mid range (premium) and a ...

Should Qantas, Virgin acknowledge members of Australia's armed forces?
Nov 06, 2018, 12:40 AMFrom an ex crew perspective, I think that Qantas' statement nailed it on the head AND I agree with others here who say its far too 'american', and that ultimately, we are losing far more ADF personnel to suicide than we are in combat - so more money on support services and less on lawyers trying ...

This can be a bit of a contentious issue - and I expect several will have a whinge about what im about to say... I can see this from both the perspective of crew and passenger, as well ...

Using electronics during take off and landing
Jan 23, 2019, 06:09 PMDepends on the crew - but as others have suggested, anything larger than the safety card is too big. That said, it does depend on the crew on the day (and how on the ball they are - if it's a quick 'cabin secure' during turbulence, often they will miss it in order to get to their own safety/seat)...

What is the future of Virgin Australia?
Aug 01, 2018, 02:01 PMI know some of these thoughts will probably just get shut down - but I feel it is time that someone tried something drastic/out of the box. Virgin used to be pretty good at pioneering out of the box ideas (think: pay per use lounges, jets on Coffs Harbour, ADL-BME sectors in the early days?!) Cap...
