• Let me get this right, you would prefer to fly the old skybed in the A380 because there is a minuscule chance you may end up on a 737 for 4 hours. More power to you! I'd personally take the 787 over the A380 every time, plus the new business seat in the QF 787 kills the old skybed!!

  • I really think it is amazing how all the naysayers who attacked Qantas as being completely stupid for considering the Perth / London route have all apologised. It really shows maturity! Who would have thought Qantas route planners would have a better idea of what would work than a bunch of armch...

  • Let me get this straight, each commenter so far knows more about these seats and layout than the guys who designed it?

  • I have QFF because of extensive travel in Australia (1-2 flights a month to Perth and 6 - 8 flights per month on the East coast). Plus 2-4 times per year to Europe. I love the QF/EK partnership. Frankly the Qantas first product sucks on the A380s, my last trip the seat was reset twice, the bathro...

As with all the other commenters here I will be sad to see the QF 747 go. A recent flight from Frankfurt to Mexico City makes me even more sad. The 747-8 is just such a beautiful aircraft with more character than the A380. Flying in the bubble is truly a wonderful experience.

  • I'm sitting in Barcelona airport waiting for my flight back to Sydney. I'm currently several hundred euro lighter because it seems Malaysia Airlines no longer allows extra checked baggage weight based in Oneworld status. According to the Oneworld site, Emerald members should receive 15kg extra ma...
