Let me get this right, you would prefer to fly the old skybed in the A380 because there is a minuscule chance you may end up on a 737 for 4 hours. More power to you! I'd personally take the 787 over the A380 every time, plus the new business seat in the QF 787 kills the old skybed!!

I really think it is amazing how all the naysayers who attacked Qantas as being completely stupid for considering the Perth / London route have all apologised. It really shows maturity! As with all the other commenters here I will be sad to see the QF 747 go. A recent flight from Frankfurt to Mexico City makes me even more sad. The 747-8 is just such a beautiful aircraft with more character than the A380. Flying in the bubble is truly a wonderful experience.
