Sort of, I wonder how they will differentiate the new airline from Peach? Peach is only single-class and short-range, the new airline two-class and medium range, but to some extent this is how Jetstar works. It certainly seems odd to have this new airline sitting sort of between ANA and Peach whi...

A data point for this discussion, I was sitting on multiple international business class bookings with Qantas when it suspended international flights towards the end of March, around $15,000 all up. Qantas offered the 10% added value or the double points or status credits to keep this in 'Travel ...

AnthonySydney, Qantas WILL offer 20% bonus value and/or stack that with a double points or double status credits deal, see my comment further down. This is NOT something offered up front to everyone but if you have a large enough booking and get the right operator you can nail this down as an alt...

I agree on the appeal of a spacious and well-designed 'open' suite. The Qantas A380 and BA first class suites are pretty good like that, and Cathay Pacific's Boeing 777 first class has certainly stood the test of time, despite being over a decade old. All the same I was very keen to see what Qant...

This sounds like a great trip, and it's a good example of when Oneworld lounge access based on your frequent flyer status comes in so handy! My advice would be:* Melbourne: Qantas first lounge. No contest!* Narita: JAL first class lounge. This has recently been renovated, I have heard it can get ...

As mentioned, Qantas stopped flying to Dubai last year when it switched back to Singapore. For Oneworld I'd suggest Sri Lankan ex-Melbourne or Cathay Pacific via HKG.

I don't think there'd be the numbers to support a dedicated Qantas lounge, and space is already very tight at SFO's international terminal. BA will have its refurbished SFO lounge open at the end of this year and I'd like to think that Qantas will use this like it did in the past, because it offe...
