I had a terrific flight on Cathay's A359 from Melbourne to Hong Kong. Comfy seat and great food and service. I found their 777 business much better - slower and more relaxed service, and being a wider aircraft - the footwell was also much wider.

I'm pretty sure Premium Economy boards with business.The main benefit of premium outside of the seat and food, is just being away from the masses of economy. If you can't afford it - don't do it. I'm flying VA premium to LA just after Christmas - it was $4,500 return, which I'm happy to pay.

Can't wait to visit in August. At the least it'll feel clean and modern. The brown and red colour palette doesn't really scream modern and funky though...And a shame that QF first passengers can't visit the first dining area. You don't need a full a la carte meal service before a first class flig...

My experience is from October 2016, but I had my upgrade request from LAX - SYD approved (premium to business). I was platinum at the time, and the business cabin was full.But I guess that was a fair time ago...

I visited the lounge about 7pm on Thursday 18 May - the barista coffee wasn't available...WiFi speed was lightning fast though, ~250Mbps download and ~200Mbps upload. (Compared to the next door Air NZ lounge, which was ~5Mbps for both download and upload...!If you need fast WiFi, set yourself up ...
