• Appreciate the news, David, thank you. Like many, I believe that when EY first brought out the new First & Business class product on the A380 it was hard to beat. For sheer opulence the Apartments we're a great experience. Business? I thought it to be the better product at the time (until QR ...

  • ...I never knew any of that. Well researched and presented. Thanks, Chris. Cheers!

  • The QR product has always been nice. Of the Middle East Three (ME3) I've preferred QR's Business approach. Of course, the Q Suite made First obsolete. That said, I did enjoy the occasions where I was up the front in First with QR - on this note EK & EY has it over QR in first. But I digress.....

  • Indeed, Richard, the A380 will fly again. However, it's future is limited. It's not about the desire to roam, or the freedom to do so, it is about economies of scale. Business spend will be radically overhauled and sovereign nations, not airlines, will choose when their citizens can fly and where...

  • Interesting isn't it. Many of us remember flying the A380 for the first time and being blown away by the offering. Not just it's girth and size, but, the offering for Premium passengers. I enjoyed it while it was there, the luxury for passenger (those lucky to be up the front) comfort and space. ...

  • Yes regretfully QR hasn't managed to find a balance between Al Safwa & Al Mourjan access. One is an empty ballroom, the other a Tokyo subway.

  • Good question. If you're on your own I'd say EY. It's a wonderful product and for the long haul, hard to beat. The Apartment is the bee's knees. I do disagree with the commentary about the Lounge. The First EY Lounge I'd take over the SQ Private Room. If they know you are in First you will be wel...

  • Malabo! That's Right, Malabo.

    Feb 13, 2019, 03:07 PM

Now you're probably searching high & low for Malabo. It's in Equatorial Guinea (known as EG). We've won work here for the next 12-18 months and I need to get people from Australia (SYD, MEL, BNE, PER, ADL) into Malabo (SSG).Does anyone here (and I could find nothing in Search) have any experi...

  • Interesting isn't it. We all notice it. I'm currently in Abu Dhabi for ADIPEC and flew in on Sunday (SYD A380) in First and will fly home tonight again in First (lucky, generous client). Yes, I've noticed it more in Business than in First. That said the menu just wasn't as flash as it once was. I...

  • As an update. I had the PH Rare on board QF12 Saturday night. Very impressed. I too am a fan of Tatt Comtes and enjoy the Pol Rog Sir Winston but must say PH Rare was a revelation. I love my Champers and will say I enjoyed the PH Rare more than Dom and yes, more than Krug. Congrats to QF.
