May have missed this mentioned elsewhere, but the page on Virgin's website explaining the new fares also references 'Fly Ahead' ending as a benefit for Golds from mid-November, and becoming a Platinum only benefit. 

Trying to search on the QF website now for some award space come September this year. Plenty seems to be showing, but I can't seem to get a direct flight. If I search MEL to KL, all the options route me on a QF flight to SYD or BNE, then MH onward to KL. If I change the search to originate in SY...

Seems like Australian Aviation had the exact same dinner and breakfast mains as you (according to their recently posted review), albeit seated at the back of the bus. So aside from plating, not a huge differentiation food wise. Although the P.E. mid-flight snacks menu does look substantially better.

Interesting new typeface for the logo. And the big splashes of colour on the seats don't really jump out to me as 'classic SQ' immediately (especially that sky blue). Could a brand refresh also be on the cards with the PE launch?
