HKG has been using RFID tags for years. The chip is imbedded in the unexposed adhesive part of the tag.

The Oneworld lounge finder is wrong. Cathay's designated lounge at AKL is the Air NZ lounge so all eligible pax on CX flights (Business, Marco Polo, OW) are issued a lounge invitation for the Air NZ lounge.

Edit: I see the confusion might arise as a result of the bit that says "must be valid on the date you are... leaving New Zealand" but my understanding is that just means you need to have a valid passport when you leave NZ - not necessarily the same physical valid passport you used to enter.

All 772s only have Regional Business Class, which is an electronic recliner. No flat bed.CX580 is usually operated by the regional 773 variant with the same seats. It is very rare to have a long-haul 777-300ER on this route.
