• What a mess hey! I suspected that something such as what has occurred this afternoon might be the result. Whoever is advising Mr lots of kids about who he should be consulting with before making his big promises and big calls is not doing a very good job.

  • While I fully support the need to accelerate reopening, it does feel a little bit like playing Russian roulette by taking out almost all protections straight away. If the whole world was at a decent level of protection that meant significant mutations were highly unlikely, then its a different st...

  • Very glad to see this being called out. While I know its tough on the businesses involved all that is going on, some of the onerous terms put up by individual companies about how you can get refunded (in many cases you can't), what time limits there are on using 'credit', and a range of other lim...

  • That is no longer the case Racala. The train ferry service linking Germany to Denmark has now stopped being used (It was a very enjoyable trip when I did it several years ago, despite being slow for the connection in question), but there is a longer route that goes via bridges that is curren...

  • The new carriages tommy that OBB (austrian raliways) are getting are pretty damn nice looking to say the least :) Their existing newer stock is not shabby either - really looking forward to trying out a nightjet or two when we are lucky enough to travel again at some point..

It's hard to know, but what we all know is we need two strong competing airlines in Australia - not one. Even a shorter term 12-24 months in which there is only one would do immeasurable damage imho and should be avoided at all costs.None of this is to say Virgin hasn't been optimally managed - t...
