It's great if you are a regular in fine dine restaurants. You can just call up and get a table easily; saves you from waiting for several months for a table. You probably get good hotel rates in Park Hyatt. 

The lounge is located after the passport control for departing non-Schengen area. When you arrived in Frankfurt, I think you should the lounge for refreshment or shower, go through passport control and then go to the gate for your Airberlin flight.

I booked 2 separate tickets with Cathay and Air Berlin before. I managed to get my luggage check through all the way to Berlin. You may need to collect Air Berlin boarding pass in Hong Kong. Air Berlin check-in may not be available when you check-in at the airport.
