Interesting topic. I am a CX Diamond and I just received my new card and the literature included says that I am allowed 2 guests in the FC lounges world wide which is at odds with what is noted here.

Try staying in Katong. It is out of the ity but opposite Parkway and there is a decent shopping centre and lots of food.The Village Katong or Mecure Roxy are both good.
