• Noise-cancelling headphones come with the J seat. My no.1 essential item is compression socks - the longer the flight, the more essential they are. A pain to put on but I arrive at the other end feeling so much better.

  • "So the new Qantas Status Credits rollover mechanism allows 25-50% of those ‘excess’ Status Credits…" So which is it? 25%? 50%? Something in between? I haven't seen any information on exactly who gets what percentage - can anyone help?

  • Dine on demand is an amazing new First Class feathre? Air Canada has had dine on demand on intnernational Business flights for years. Especially valuable when crossing the Pacific.

  • Air Canada currently has good wifi domestically; international is following around May 2026. Every wifi announcement on every AC flight includes "Voice applications are prohibited".

  • I'm one of the people who doesn't have a company, and pay for my own (J) tickets. There are some, believe it or not.

  • I recently contacted Qantas FF on behalf of a friend who lives in Cyprus, is a Qantas FF member, and is not on the internet (yes, they exist; he's 70). He normally comes to Australia once a year, but with the borders firmly shut it's unlikely he'll be able to come anytime soon (not an Australian)...

  • Still unable to access more than one discussion thread. After the first one loads OK, the message for all subsequent threads is that the thread doesn't exist or has been removed. Not using Explorer, though - using Firefox for Mac. Just tried to post this and got a message "Internal server error"....
