New plans for Perth Airport

Look I know everyone will go.. never going to happen or its too late

But thought new plan for Perth Airport was looking pretty good.

I agree, at least they have started to do something. Guess we will just have to wait and see how things play out. Good to see they have stated they want a world class airport, not just functional as they seemed to say in the past. 

Oops, here's hoping world class = great experience including functionality. 

Trust me, the final product will look nowhere near as impressive as the master plan. It almost never goes to plan with big projects. 

Not necessarily. Canberra Airport over-delivered in a big way. There is a lot of work already going on at Perth - new Virgin terminal, new international departures and arrivals, new WA terminal, massive road realignments - and the vision looks great. Just need to convince Qantas to commit to new digs, as Virgin already has. Co-location of domestic and international terminals will make Perth a convenient hub for flights to Africa.

and Asia.  Now if only we had a "home grown" international airline that flew internationally ex PER!!! ;-)

I can't help but notice the Singapore Airlines and Emirates A380 In the Video.

I'd be really surprised if Singapore Airlines were to deploy an A380 to Perth.

I was only talking about the plan. Don't know why a random render on a plane makes a difference :P

I think you will find the Emirates lounge is still under construction so nothing will happen until that's done for a start.

Will Australia's national carrier Jetstar be getting an International Lounge at the new airport?
