Hhonors Diamond - Morning all, wanting to know from others experience if it makes any difference checking in online prior to arrival at Hilton? As a Diamond member does checking in online run the risk of missing out on a room upgrade? Or do they do this at the check in desk regardless? Interested to hear people's experiences on this. Thanks

as a diamond member i always check in at the hotel for this reason .

Agree with Merc25.. also do the same.  Received a lovely upgrade a couple of weeks ago at Hilton in Sydney and also back in January at the DoubleTree in Manchester UK

Prior to an online check in I view my booking first to see if the Hotel has already upgraded the room if so I am happy to check in online. If not I check in at the hotel.

I alwasys check to see if I've been upgraded, if so I check in.

I will add through, in all the times I've used onlne check in (Pretty much every stay when it first started) I always still received an upgrade when I arrived at the hotel, which the app specifies. Melbourne South Wharf is very good at upgrading on the app the day prior to arrival, I always online check in then.

10 years of being a Diamond member - never received an upgrade regardless of on-line or desk check-in.
