I just booked a return Elevate for next week and on the BNE-SYD leg the Upgrade Premium Bid min amount is just $80. That seems crazy cheap start price. The start price on SYD-BNE leg is $130. Under the first sector is does say Access a 20% discount on the normal minimum bid price for this flight until 31 Dec 2017.

Have had some similar pricing lately. ADL BNE return and also ADL SYD return at $110 and $100 respetively.

That actually makes J semi reasonable. Interesting!

I should’ve added - those 4 flights were on getaway fares too.

My minimum offer on a recent SYD-BNE and return was $120, but the slider defaulted to $150 when I opened it up. Considering I've got Gold status the upgrade to J isn't really worth it for what is essentially a commuter flight.

I agree. I go for Economy X and get the extra leg room for $39 which is fine for a short flight.
