Just noticed the Qantas 787 Dreamliner made a quick visit from Melbourne to Canberra and is heading back as we speak.

They had an event in CBR yesterday where selected Platinum Ones got invites to check the plane out.

Are we really supposed to get excited over an aeroplane that's been around for years in Australia???/

What a load of Bull****t .
This is just another B787 that's tarted up in QF colours!!
Apart from watching Shield cricket I could not imagine anything more boring than going to look at that!

Of more interest could have been the Vietnam Airlines 787 that was there last week...

Thread was started just to say something unusual was doing a revenue flight into CBR and more of a plane spotters thing. Didn’t realise it was tied to an event. Vietnam airlines plane was because the head of state was in town:

Flew this yesterday. I would feel sorry for anyone stuck in anything but J. QANTAS has done great job at hyping this. I will happily continue transiting through Asia or the Mid East rather than sit on this from Perth to London.
