I saw a Star Alliance logo painted aircraft today at Sydney airport which looked like an A350. Wasn't close enough to see it clearly and what airline in the alliance it belonged to. Didn't think it was SQ, TG as both airlines had their usual aircraft mix of A380 and B777 for SQ and B747 for Thai there. Did anyone see the aircraft and or now what airline it belongs to.

Are you sure it was an A350? There was an Air India aircraft in which was painted in Star Alliance livery. However that is a 787.

I think you are right. I wasn't close enough to see the aircraft clearly.

I don't think any A350 aircraft are painted in Star Alliance livery yet... Qatar have an A350 in one world livery soon to be delivered and Vietnam have an A350 in sky team shortly to be delivered as well. It is fairly easy to mistake a 787 for an A350 if not close up, or even possibly an A330.
