Yes. Open 24hrs. I prefer the first lounge near the A-gates. I have seen the day beds and they look OK- but have never used them. The first lounge near Gate A is generally quiet when I am there - so I imagine you could get a few hours kip.
The International hotel inside the terminals (1&3) is fantastic. Yes it costs a couple of hundred, but you get a real hotel, accessed from the same lift bank as the lounge. Much better than hanging out, through the wee hours, in a lounge (no matter how good it is)
Do EK still do Dubai connect where you get a free hotel/transfer if you’ve got a long layover? I used it a couple years ago flying J, the minimum requirement was a 6 hour layover. I’m pretty sure you could get it in Y too (8 hour layover) - worth having a squiz!
Have used the beds in the quiet room in the Terminal A first lounge and they are perfectly comfortable. Voss bottled water and glasses, blankets, pillows and eyeshades are provided.

Thanks for the tip, just realised fare is ineligible as it’s an award booking

Thanks Gents, if I’m really tired I’ll check in to the hotel... if not I’ll have a little snooze in the lounge.
