Hi all,

Would love to hear your experience when you book the award ticket and the flight is cancelled, how did the airline accommodate you if you're using the airline FF points to book the flight operated by that airline? And how was the experience if the canceled flight is operated by its partners e.g. FJ flight which was booked using QF points was canceled?

I had last month QF95 cancelled a day prior the flight. Had booked 2 J tickets with points. No J flights available on the day, so we were rebooked 12 hours earlier on QF93 but in Y. We were given points and tax difference.

Did you push Qantas to rebook you in J on later date? Downgrading from J to Y on transpacific flight is a nightmare.

Had Finnair proactively rebook me VIE-DOH-HKG in J on QR, rather than VIE-HEL-HKG about 4 hours out from departure at VIE, due to a substantial delay, then cancellation on the HEL-HKG route.

All totally seamless, email received from Finnair and no issues checking in with Qatar 60min later
