I am OW Emerald (QFF plat) flying on Alaska from RDU-SFO and just wanting to know whether I can access the AA lounge in RDU? Alaska have lounge-share with American but I am not a paid lounge member with alaska, and Alaska is not in OW which is an AA lounge access pre-requisite...
Worth a try but maybe not as Alaska is not a member then they won’t pay for you. If it is part of a broader ticket then worth a try. If it is a code share with QF then yes as Qantas will pay AA for the privilege.
You should be able to access to the lounge AS has access to. Not because you are OW Emerald but cuz you are QF platinum, since QF and AS are partners.
hope so. i like that logic, I'll be using that!!
FYI - lounge access when flying Alaska as a QFF is limited to certain airports and when connecting with a QF flight (according to the Qantas website):
Gold, Platinum, Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club members can enjoy access for you and a guest to Alaska's lounges in Los Angeles, Seattle, Anchorage and Portland when flying on an Alaska Airlines flight, connecting to, or from, a Qantas International operated flight.
The key point here is is this a discrete booking (ie: have you booked this as a solely Alaska flight) or is it one leg of a longer booking which also includes either AA or QF flights and is ticketed by a OW airline. If it's the latter, then you should be able to do. If it is the former then you won't.

Not unless you have a boarding pass for an international flight marketed and operated by OneWorld that departs on the same day.

Can you explain why the oneworld international flight has any relevance? The OP is flying a non oneworld airline. Am I missing something?
