First look: inside the new Pan Pacific Singapore
The Marina Bay luxury landmark shines once more.
High-end stays in Singapore’s Marina Bay dress circle are gaining even more lustre with this week’s reopening of the Pan Pacific hotel.
The 790-room landmark rolls out the welcome mat in the same month that its near-neighbour the Mandarin Oriental emerged from its own extensive make-over.
As the Pan Pacific Hotel Group’s flagship, the $30 million transformation showcases the brand’s new vision of “graceful luxury” from the moment guests arrive.
The Grand Atrium and VIP Lounge welcome guests with lush greenery including a 130-year-old Bonsai tree centrepiece, floating lantern-like pods over a body of water, and timber walkways and bridges which pay tribute to the Singapore River, a vital element of Singapore’s history and prosperity.
The Pacific Emporium brings together dining and retail with authentic and local flavours, artisanal produce and products from local brands and designers.
For example, The Kitchen eatery takes you on a gastronomic tour of Singaporean flavours such as Peranakan Wagyu Beef Burgers, Heritage Chicken Rice and Lobster Laksa.
Also new is Plume, positioned as a plush ‘destination bar’ dressed in sumptuous red hues with a collection of unique cocktails inspired by the colourful birds of Singapore.
Elevated luxury and comfort are the focus of the hotel’s refurbished hotel rooms: the Deluxe Rooms, Executive Marina Bay Rooms, and Premier Suite have all been redesigned, and beds have been repositioned to maximise picturesque Marina Bay skyline views.
The rooms are even larger, as the architects opted to reclaim some space from the large balconies, which saw relatively little use, given Singapore’s hot humid climate.
A new ‘Happy Sleepers’ program, available to Club and Suite guests as well as members of the Pan Pacific Discovery loyalty program holding Platinum status or higher, offers exceptional quality bedding, pillow menus, sleep-promoting food and beverages including warm milk, tea, and healthy snacks to regulate melatonin levels.
In addition, an in-room sleep menu steps guests through the five best yoga poses to encourage sleep and relaxation, as well as a guided meditation playlist, custom room scenting and aromatherapy bath experiences.
Executive Marina Bay Room guests can also enjoy exclusive access to the self-service Studio 26 lounge, located on the 26th floor and open around the clock with complimentary morning and afternoon pastries, all-day drinks and light snacks.

It is a great hotel, but I choose it for the balconies and the view from there - I hope they left at least some, did not reclaim them all...

I've only had the pleasure of staying there once. And echoing MikeMac's comment above - it is indeed a great hotel. Seems like it may be even better now.

It’s such a shame that you didn’t show what other room types are available other than suites. I travel to SIN a lot and often look for alternative hotels to the ones I use.

Hi Susan – those are the only photos supplied by the hotel at this stage, as more arrive we'll look to add them into the article.

Agree Mike Mac - have stayed there several times and the bay fencing balconies were great.

I usually stay at Conrad Centennial (the "13" building in the background) and often wondered about this hotel as it's clearly visible from the windows, the photos above look great, so I'll definitely give it a go now.

Stayed in 2016; best breakfast of any hotel I've ever stayed at.
