Pyjamas, caviar for Singapore Airlines business class?

With all-new doored business class suites on the launchpad this year, Singapore Airlines looks set to add pyjamas and caviar to its business class proposition.

Those private suites will grace the bulk of SQ’s Airbus A350 fleet – both the long-range and ultra-long range jets – from early 2026 in a massive SGD$1.1 billion investment which also includes new A350 first class berths.

And the upgrades will stretch beyond what industry boffins term the ‘hard product’.

Executive Traveller understands that Singapore Airlines could finally offer business class pyjamas to passengers on its medium- to long-range flights.

Sleepwear is currently exclusive to SQ’s first class flyers, with a soft set of charcoal-coloured pyjamas from French luxury brand Lalique.

However, many airlines – including Qantas, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Virgin Atlantic and United Airlines – extend the PJs perk to business class.

Comfy PJs will certainly enhance the sleep experience on the airline’s new A350 business class suites when the door is closed and the ‘Do Not Disturb’ light is on.

Also on the menu for Singapore Airlines business class in 2026 is caviar.

As first reported by The Mile Lion, the Star Alliance member has recently put out a call for suppliers of “farmed caviar for business class” on its online eProcurement portal.

Singapore Airlines currently serves Kaluga Queen caviar in first class. Passengers are offered a 30 gram tin, paired with a ‘mother of pearl’ spoon and the standard sides of blinis, sliced egg yolk and egg white, and crème fraîche.

“Sourced from sustainably farmed Russian sturgeon, the Kaluga Osetra produces an elegant and luxurious, buttery-flavoured malossol caviar,” is how SQ describes this indulgent dish.

“With rich flavour profiles and a creamy finish on the palate, this imperial grade caviar is one of the finest quality caviars available.”

“Bright golden to light amber colour and medium-to-large size grains that create a delicate dining experience.”

Of course, nobody expects business class travellers to be served the same caviar as first class, and it might not even be in the same quantity.

Qatar Airways, which now offers a business class caviar service on premium routes from Doha, serves a 15 gram portion of Baeri caviar from the Caspian Sea.

If you’re curious, Baeri caviar comes from Siberian Sturgeon, which is a smaller cousin of the Osetra Sturgeon whose roe is found in Osetra caviar.
