Singapore Airlines & SilkAir introduce daily Singapore-Kolkata flights

In brief: Singapore Airlines will introduce a daily service between Singapore and Kolkata (better known as Calcutta) from August 1.

SQ already runs three SIN-CCU flights per week on Saturday, Wednesday and Friday (SQ516/517), and in August its regional arm SilkAir will add flights on the other four days of the week to provide a daily service that can be booked through Singapore Airlines.

The times of the Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights are identical, which makes it easier to plan your schedule: they all leave Singapore at 9pm and arrive into Kolkata at 10.35pm, with the return leg departing from Kolkata at 11.50pm for a 6.35 landing in Singapore.
