We had the same problem a couple years ago, but just asked someone when we got on the plane would they mind swapping. No hassle at all for a lot of people. Worth a shot.

Yes, it’s a shame, it’s similar everywhere. Flew Dublin to Melbourne recently, lounges in both cities both showing big signs of cost-cutting. Food is a shadow of its former self. Dublin used to have a beautiful breakfast menu, now it’s a buffet. Melbourne menu is much tighte...

We do it too. I agree it's a reasonably common thing to do... I look at them like lounge passes, if you don't need to use one just hold onto it. Even if that's not right, I think being accused of 'committing fraud' is a little over the top!
