• Question1: does your *A status matter for upgrade priority (ie front of queue for gold)?Question2: is calling your FF program the only option? You cannot do it on booked airlines website? Question3 (maybe a new article): how can you find and book “reward seats” on *A using only p...

  • Gosh, no matter what Qantas does there always will be haters. Having more options and competition on a route is always a good thing.

  • I think most of the feedback is too harsh. Have a look at the US what total chaos there is or check out Amsterdam airport where queues for security are for 3 km outside the airport. Yes there has been lots of delays and cancellations but a) the demand ramp was extreme from 0-100 and b) I don&rsqu...

  • This is one of the reasons why I never chose to be loyal to VA. No global partnerships programs (like *A, OW) very poor international network, insufficient and confusing partners / codeshare arrangements and uncertain and non-sustainable routes. These are the reasons why I'm loyal to QF. It's not...

  • Question: OWE (QF WP) travelling on AA from LAX T4 - I assume I would have access to the QF FCL at LAX TBIT. Can I bring a +1 who travels on QF flight that evening (not same flight as I)?

Impossible to say without specifics? Which airline/ alliance/ how did you book / etc. generally speaking: No. once you have your bookings (and assuming they are at least on same alliance) you can try to call your carrier and ask to combine, if that doesn’t work you can try at the airport. 9...

  • QF LIFETIME PLAT

Asked the same question last year. I’m LTG and I’m chasing now *A LTG as for me LTP is unobtainable. I feel Qantas should have a LTP at ca 45/50k and then a LTP1 for 75k, as realistically you rack up 75k SCs only if you are P1 for 10-20years.

Anyone here qantas lifetime platinum?I just reached LTG and wonder if it is worth trying to chase LTP by collecting a whopping 75k SC (or an additional 61k SC from LTG). One would have to rack up 3000 SC per year for 20 years or 1500 SC for over 40 years - who knows if this program will be even a...

  • Alaskan luggage check-through

    Sep 03, 2022, 08:20 AM

A pleasant surprise which saved me 3hrs+ at LAXI had 2 separate bookings: Alaskan from Seattle to LAX - arriving at 3pmQantas from lax to Syd - depart 23:55Asked qantas if they can combine bookings. They said no. At Alaskan check in I was served by an enormously competent lady: contrary to what I...

  • It really depends on what you are after. If you fly a lot of complex itineraries then the vip service is really a huge value add. I just recently flew on a multi city with frequent changes and the vip staff went above and beyond. Also if you fly a lot in economy then p1 is best tier with being fi...
