Review: Jetstar’s new 787 business class
Jun 07, 2026, 10:43 PMMy wife and I did Sing -Mel in May on the new configuration in business class. We had used points. Lounge access in Singapore was as usual very good prior to the flight. We were in row 2 and I agree with the comment that row 1 looked awkward when trying to stretch out. I’m 6ft 3 in and was ...

A five-year wait for Australia’s digital arrivals card?
Aug 10, 2025, 11:49 AMi too have used it many times coming back into BNE from PNG. Not sure what the fuss is as it saves no time at all. Fill it out online, get in the same queue as all others with their paper based cards and then scan the QR and face the same questions. Zero in the way of time saving.I was expecting ...

Recommendations for Singapore hotels
May 31, 2019, 03:53 PMI’ve always enjoyed the Fullerton Hotel particularly if you can get a room upgrade to include the balcony overlooking the bay, although I can’t vouch for the pool area. Fullerton Bay is also excellent and has a very nice pool area and adjacent bar overlooking Marina Bay. Both are clos...

36 hours in Munich - suggestions?
Mar 01, 2019, 05:27 PMAs mentioned above, Augustiners is a favourite. From there you can also do a short stroll through the mall, visit a couple of churches also. From memory there’s a St. mary’s In the mall near Augustiners. It looks nothing from the outside but so pleased my wife dragged me in to see it ...

Feb 08, 2019, 04:56 PMWe were recently heading off BNE/DXB and received the upgrade offer via email 3-days out. We didn’t take it but then asked for the price at check-in which of course was considerably more and just now t worth it. With EK you can also enquire once onboard and the CSM will advise the cost whic...
