Just for the sake of clarity here - Qantas are not extending all customer's by 12 months. They're only extending those who haven't been able to renew their status by reaching the threshold. Those high spend customers like myself for example, who had already reached their P1 renewal - get nothing ...

@fergo it’s actually worse than that...You can go into the Concord lounge, even if you’re not in first. You just have to be in the BA elite tier - similar to Qantas P1. No doubt at all, the BA Concord lounges are the closest experience to our Syd / Mel / LAX First lounges with Qanta...

Just so you know, many of us had ALREADY qualified for our next 12 months - so Qantas’ free extension did nothing to help. Qantas didn’t have any interest in recognising those who were actually spending the fastest... I contacted the P1 team to ask about getting a 12 month status exte...

There is nothing wrong with using travel providers / agents from countries overseas at all. We do it all the time, as you can often get much more competitive fares in comparison to Australia if you are ticketing out of those countries in their local currency. Particularly so in the USA / UK.Exac...
