Is there any way to use Virgin points through a partner airline to book to NZ? I'm assuming not, but i've got a chunky amount of points to burn that have been building up for a couple of years now..

Virgin really needed to come out swinging on this official day 1 release to show strong leadership and give not only the FF/passengers but the market in general confidence. Yet all they've basically released is the equivalent of "ah.. yeah.. changes? yeah we're ah working on them - oh oh yeah we'...

I don't think they will - i mean why do they need to. If customers aren't happy with Virgin's new proposition, it's not like they have a variety of choice in airlines to switch too.

*edit* forgot to mention i've flown Business Class on the A330 a number of times, so i know the hard product is far better. So i'm heading to the US at the end of the year - looking at leaving Boxing Day. I have a truckload of velocity points ~650,000 to burn, so looking at options for using them. Leaving from Perth and open to where i end up in the US - though ideally LAX or SFO. Just searching general flights (not a...

Completely random in my experience - however more often than not they come out closer to the order i check in. If i check in early, they come out later - if i check in late they come out earlier. My first few flights on Virgin when they first launched the coast to coast were the only reliable tim...
