• Qantas brings back A380 first class

    Mar 14, 2022, 07:17 PM

Probably not until next year given that Qantas have said 6 will be back by the end of this year (with another four to return by early 2024) and 6 is only enough for SYD-LAX and SYD-LHR.

  • It's unlikely all the destinations will re-start at the same time. But Qantas does have another 3 787s sitting in Victorville that have yet to be formally delivered and also the A330 fleet that could do Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. I do find it interesting that even with domestic travel starti...

  • Coronavirus: how to self-isolate

    Mar 16, 2020, 12:58 PM

Does this apply retrospectively to those who've been overseas in the last 14 days before this was implemented?

  • Santiago is already going to the 787 in June. Qantas wanted to send the A380 to Tokyo but so far haven't been able to get Haneda airport to budge on lifting A380 slot restrictions. • WA's flip-flopping border policy

    Nov 17, 2020, 07:13 AM

Whatever your stance on this issue, can you really defend the idea that generally speaking laws can change with a second's notice and apply retrospectively to you? There were people en-route interstate from SA while policies were changed and it applied to them - and in WA policies applied retros...

  • Last night I had a flight out of Auckland cancelled and was offered changes as usual. But I couldn't accept the changes because I was asked to verify myself via text message - something I never set. I never got that text message then realising my phone plan couldn't accept Australian calls in New...

  • I have been in this situation a couple of years ago. I rang QF at the time and I was told they recognise my status at the time the upgrade is processed even if it was not the status when I requested the upgrade. Therefore there was no point in cancelling the request and making it again - somethin...

  • If you're talking about QF9 - unfortunately its one of those routes Qantas do not release any Business Class award seats. They have not explicitly said they don't release awards (like Qatar have in regard to their own F awards out of London) but they tend not to.
