A direct flight to Manila and a decent J seat now makes PAL an option ex Brisbane. If the prices are competitive with the other airlines "one stop" offerings then this will be my first choice.

The new Cathay lounge in Manila is excellent.  This and being in the newish T3 make Cathay my favourite way of returning home to Brisbane.  At least until someone restarts direct Brisbane - Manila services.

Qatar have a dedicated Business Class bus that departs a soon as all Business Class passsengers have disembarked and then heads to the wonderful "Premium Terminal" at Doha airport.  All in all it makes an unpleasant experience (no airbridge) into a pleasant few minutes sitting in aircon...

I look forward to seeing an ABT review of the newly maintained lounges - they would want to look mighty well maintained to justify the long closure......

The increased flights to Brisbane would explain the new saturation radio advertising promoting Korean Air as the best way to travel to Europe with kids.  (It promotes the benfits of the included hotel stay in Seoul on the way over.)
