• MEL - DRW is back as of 19 April.Shame indeed to see MEL - HTI axed. That said, I recall even before VA collapsed MEL - HTI was specifically highlighted as a route that would likely not survive even the restructuring that Scurrah was hoping attempting to implement. Meanwhile, JQ has jus...

  • I said if the vaccines bring numbers down, perhaps it's reasonable for Australia to accept them for proof of entry for these purposes. But that is not the same thing as injecting populations with them (as China and Russia have done) without first putting them through the basic trials and approvals...

  • In all seriousness, until this country considers different quarantine methods that actually reflect the actual risk of the origin country, it's all just nonsense. We allow Covid positive Australians to recover and self-isolate at home. There is no justifiable reason why we don't allow people who h...

  • Then it isn't a bubble. At best, it's a one-way valve premised on an either arrogant or naive expectation that foreign countries will allow us in without quarantine, even though we won't return the courtesy for them or even our citizens upon return. Rather, it sounds like what the government...

    Sep 18, 2020, 03:53 PM

Flew them as well a few times, on-time and no issues. Hand luggage was never weighed, but could be, though I believe the limits are on par with most carriers in Oz anyway.

  • Qantas A380 refurb schedule

    Jun 28, 2019, 09:34 AM

Though a bit dated, the PE seat itself on the current A380 is the best I've experienced comfort wise. Unless I'm in J, I'm in no hurry to see the refurbs on my routes. Have yet to fly the 787 and have avoided thus far given the reviews. It's all relative, and not all PE is created equal. I was bas...
